If your home in Mt. Washington, Shepherdsville or Hillview has experienced water damage it can lead to developing a black mold problem. Mold can start growing in as little as 24 hours after water damage from a leak or flooding occurs.

While waiting for SERVPRO to arrive you can help prevent the spread of the mold by doing two things.

CUT OFF Water because mold loves excess moisture.

1) Turn off the water shutoff valve.

2) Dry the surface where the mold is mostly to spread.

3) Set up a dehumidifier in the unaffected parts of the home.

SHUT OFF the HVAC.

Shutting down air flow eliminates the travel of the mold spores that can cause new mold growth.

If you discover black mold in your home please call SERVPRO of Bullitt & N. Nelson County at 502-904-0710.
