1) Never leave your clothes sitting inside the washing machine.

2) It is best to limit the number of indoor plants because mold loves to grow in plant soil.

3) Use the exhaust fans in the bathrooms while taking a shower.

4) Turn off the humidifier if you see moisture beads on the window.

5) Put plastic over dirt in crawl spaces and keep them well ventilated.

6) Ventilate damp rooms and wipe shower doors and walls.

7) Wash bathroom tiles with mold-killing products.

8) Fix any leaks in the house.

9) In hot humid climates use dehumidifiers and air conditioners in basements where mold tends to grow.
