Flooding in Mt. Washington, KY

This homeowner had a beautiful finished basement in Mt. Washington, KY. Carpet, Tile, and Vinyl Flooring were used throughout the area creating a very cozy environment. However, when torrential downpours and failing sump pumps team up, disaster occurs. Thankfully, SERVPRO of Bullitt and N. Nelson Counties arrived quickly to the scene, lifting carpet, setting up equipment, and pulling up saturated vinyl. Tips for Water Damage Prevention

• Shut off water source if possible.
• If safe turn off circuit breakers.
• Remove as much water as possible with towels and mops.
• Prop up furniture, remove upholstery cushions, and use aluminum foil or wood blocks to separate from saturated carpet.
• Remove art, electronics, and other valuable materials to a safe and dry place.
